Scorecards
| Metric | What it means |
|---|---|
| Sessions | Visits in the selected period. |
| Engaged sessions | Sessions containing at least one selected engaged event. |
| Engaged session rate | Share of sessions counted as engaged. |
| Session duration | Median session duration for the period. |
| Events per session | Average event volume per session. |
Use Engaged events to choose which activity counts as engagement. This uses the same selection as Key Events in the Events tab.
Trends and traffic context
Session trends compares total and engaged sessions over time. Traffic Channels and Traffic Sources show session counts and shares for each traffic group.
Compare the same reporting period and filters before interpreting a change in engagement rate.
Session Log
Use Session Log to find individual visits. Rows show the session identifier, time, landing page, device context, duration, page views, events, and visitor identifier. Sort or filter columns and use pagination to inspect additional sessions.
Open a session to see Session Overview:
- Device, browser, operating system, and location.
- Page-view and event totals, plus consent status.
- Session and visitor identifiers, when available.
- Landing page, exit page, and duration.
- Traffic source, medium, and campaign.
- Session Event Timeline.
Click Open in Events on a timeline event to inspect that occurrence. No ID indicates an unavailable visitor identifier; anonymous activity can still have session context.
