Connect to Tableau

Connect your Hardal analytics data to Tableau Desktop via MySQL so you can build interactive visualizations and publish workbooks to your team

Connect your Hardal analytics data to Tableau to create powerful visualizations, dashboards, and interactive reports.

Get your database credentials from SettingsDatabase in your Hardal dashboard.

Get Connection Credentials

Access Database Settings

  1. Log into your Hardal dashboard
  2. Select your Signal from the project list
  3. Go to SettingsDatabase
  4. Copy your connection details

You now have the credentials needed for Tableau integration.

Connect to Tableau

Open Tableau Desktop

  1. Launch Tableau Desktop
  2. Click ConnectTo a ServerMySQL

Configure Database Connection

Enter your Hardal database credentials:

  • Server: [from your database settings]
  • Port: [from your database settings]
  • Database: [from your database settings]
  • Username: [from your database settings]
  • Password: [from your database settings]

Click Sign In to establish the connection.

Store these credentials securely and restrict access to authorized users only.

Import Data

  1. Select the Hardal tables you want to analyze
  2. Drag tables to the canvas to create relationships
  3. Click Update Now to load the data

You can now create visualizations and dashboards with your Hardal data.

  • Create calculated fields for custom metrics and KPIs
  • Publish workbooks to Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud
