Connect to Power BI
Connect your Hardal analytics to Power BI Desktop using the MySQL connector so you can create interactive reports and share dashboards
Connect your Hardal analytics data to Microsoft Power BI to create comprehensive business intelligence dashboards and reports.
Get your database credentials from Settings → Database in your Hardal dashboard.
Get Connection Credentials
Access Database Settings
- Log into your Hardal dashboard
- Select your Signal from the project list
- Go to Settings → Database
- Copy your connection details
You now have the credentials needed for Power BI integration.
Connect to Power BI
Open Power BI Desktop
- Launch Power BI Desktop
- Click Get Data on the Home ribbon
- Search for and select MySQL database
- Click Connect
Configure Database Connection
Enter your Hardal database credentials:
- Server: [from your database settings]
- Database: [from your database settings]
Click OK, then enter authentication details:
- User name: [from your database settings]
- Password: [from your database settings]
Ensure your database credentials are stored securely and access is limited to authorized personnel.
Select and Load Data
- Choose the Hardal tables you want to import
- Click Load to import the data directly, or Transform Data to modify it first
- Wait for the data import to complete
Your Hardal data is now available for creating reports and visualizations.
