Connect Hardal to Intercom to automatically create and update user profiles, track events, and trigger targeted customer messaging campaigns.

Create Intercom Access Token

  1. Go to your Intercom workspace settings
  2. Navigate to Integrations > Developer Hub
  3. Create a new app with these permissions:
    • Read and write users
    • Read and write events
    • Read and write conversations
  4. Copy the access token

Set Up Hardal Destination

In your Hardal dashboard:
  1. Go to Destinations > Add Destination
  2. Select Intercom
  3. Enter your Intercom access token
  4. Choose your Intercom workspace region

Configure User and Event Mapping

Map your Hardal data to Intercom:
  • User ID → Intercom User ID
  • Email → Required for user identification
  • Custom attributes → Intercom user attributes
  • Events → Intercom event tracking

Test the Integration

  1. Send a test user event from Hardal
  2. Check your Intercom workspace to verify the user appears
  3. Confirm events are being tracked in the user timeline
