Automatically hash sensitive user data before storage to ensure GDPR, CCPA, and privacy compliance.
Hashing is irreversible. Once enabled, original data cannot be recovered.
Access Data Redaction Rules
Navigate to Settings
- Log into your Hardal dashboard
- Go to Settings → Security
- Find Data Redaction Rules section
Choose Redaction Type
Select the type of data to hash:
- Email Redaction: Hash email addresses
- Phone Redaction: Hash phone numbers
- Generic/Custom: Hash other sensitive data (SSN, addresses, etc.)
Set Target Fields
Enter field names where this data appears in your analytics:email, user_email, contact_email
Enable Hash Values
Toggle Hash Values to ON to start hashing new data.The rule is now active for newly collected data.
