Use Overview scorecards and charts to check traffic, page views, consent, channels, and pages.
Check traffic and event health
Use this guide for a quick check of current website traffic.
Check Live activity
Start with Live Visitors, Sessions, and Events. These counts cover the trailing 30 minutes, so they are the fastest way to confirm that activity is arriving now.
Set the date range
Choose the period you want to judge. Last 7 days is the default. Use Today for incidents, Last 7 days for short-term campaign checks, and Custom for launches or seasonal periods.
Narrow the report
Use Filters to select a source or narrow by channel, traffic source, path, device, operating system, country, city, or event name.
Check the scorecards
Compare visitors, sessions, page views, bounce rate, consent rate, and session duration. Look for one metric moving differently from the others.
Compare traffic quality
Use Visitors & Sessions, Traffic Channels, and Traffic Sources to see whether the change comes from a channel, source, or broad traffic shift.
Check page behavior
Use Top Pages and device or browser breakdowns to see whether the change is tied to a page, device group, or browser.
Choose the next page
Open Sources if page views stop arriving. Open AI Visibility if the spike may come from agents or crawlers.
What to watch for
| Signal | What it can mean | Next page |
|---|---|---|
| Page views drop while sessions stay stable | Tracking or route-change collection may need review. | Sources |
| Consent rate drops | Fewer sessions are connected to a visitor ID. | Consent & Privacy |
| Bounce rate rises | More sessions contain exactly one page view. | Top Pages and Traffic Sources |
| One page gets a sudden spike | A campaign, referral, or crawler may be driving it. | AI Visibility |
If Page Views drop suddenly, check Sources before assuming traffic dropped.
