Overview

Meta Signals Gateway enables businesses to receive and send events using their own infrastructure with enhanced privacy controls and simplified setup. This guide will walk you through integrating Meta Signals Gateway with Hardal.

Prerequisites

Before setting up Signals Gateway, ensure you have:

  • A Meta Business Manager account with admin access

  • Access to Hardal Dashboard

  • A Meta Pixel installed on your website

  • Basic understanding of HTTP requests

You must have admin access privileges in your Meta Business Manager to generate the required access token.

Implementation

Once configured, you have two options for implementation:

Option 1: Developer Implementation

  • Copy the provided instructions

  • Share with your development team

  • They can implement the base code directly

Option 2: Google Tag Manager

  1. Create a new Custom HTML Tag

  2. Paste the Signals Pixel base code

  3. Set appropriate trigger conditions

  4. Publish your changes

Ensure proper event code implementation to maintain data quality.

5

Test the Connection

  1. Open your Meta Events Manager

  2. Check that events are being received via both browser (pixel) and server (Signals Gateway)

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

If events aren’t showing in Meta:

  1. Verify Gateway Configuration:

    • Check pixel implementation

    • Confirm endpoint URLs

    • Verify event parameter formatting

  2. Check Implementation:

    • Review browser console for errors

    • Verify server connectivity

    • Validate event triggers
